Liquidators appointed by Tusk group
The Tusk Investment group in Australia, which owns the Casino Action group of online poker rooms and casinos, continued to be the centre of attention this week following the termination of its software licence by Microgaming and the suspension of its eCOGRA seals for non-compliance
Whilst it still appears that Tusk has not communicated its intentions to the players, the company had earlier informed Microgaming that it was going into liquidation, resulting in the termination of its software agreement and activity on the websites coming to a halt. This week Microgaming issued a public update on the situation, advising that liquidators had been appointed by Tusk, but that the appointment had to be ratified by the Tusk group's jurisdiction, Vanuatu. The statement reads:
"Microgaming has now been advised that a liquidator has been appointed by Tusk Investments Corporation, although the appointment is subject to ratification by the regulatory authorities of Vanuatu – the jurisdiction in which Tusk is incorporated.
"As yet, Microgaming has not been informed how long this ratification process will take, but it will provide additional updates on the situation as and when information becomes available."
Websites operated by Tusk and impacted by the liquidation are:
Casinos: Challenge Casino, Golden Reef Casino, Music Hall Casino, Nostalgia Casino, UK Casino Club, Big Casino
Poker Rooms: Battlefield Poker, Royal Card Club, Red Nines, Arctic Poker, Raw Poker, Poker.ie, Daily Poker, Flush Draw Poker, Will Bet Poker, Bet Road Poker, Grand Central Poker, Off The Rail Poker, Privy Poker, Berserk Poker, Atomik Poker, Dave's Poker Room, Hetman Poker, Hot Pepper Poker, Poker Seas, TilttAA Poker, Loose Games Poker, CPT Gaming Poker, Ice Bear Poker, GoHard Poker, Caya Poker, Mr Urban Poker, Poker Sweden, Euro Poker Dream.
