26.10.2005 Disappointed players were shaking their heads this week after receiving an announcement from Intercasino.com that the online casino had "upgraded" its video poker games. Players were soon commenting that the upgrade had a downside - the new paytable has been reduced to 99.1 percent, where the old was 99.9 percent.
The passage "We trust that you will enjoy your improved Video Poker at InterCasino " used in the announcement was subsequently the cause for some caustic comment.
One player's succinct take on the situation was typical: "It's like 'Dear Player, come and play our new improved slots. Now paying out less than the old ones!'."
The casino communication said that the payout tables had been altered to "match that which is found in the land-based casinos."
