Online casino millionaire plus on a five buck stake
An unidentified British online gambler from Forge Cottage in the UK became a millionaire this week at the Bodog online casino....and he did it on a $5 stake!
The player, who wishes to remain anonymous sat down at his computer to play Jacks or Better video poker at the online casino and through skilful play and extraordinary luck ran his $5 bet to a massive $1 310 720.
"For the player who likes a game of skill, a low house edge and the possibility of large wíns, there is nothing else that can compare to our video poker," says Bodog.com's CEO Calvin Ayre. "Bodog casíno continuously aims to raise the bar with this type of entertainment and we couldn't be more happy to make some dreams happen while we're at it."
The big winner was playing $1 Jacks or Better and wagering 5 coins, or $5 at a time when an amazing chain of events unfolded: he wagered $5 and was paid $5 for his pair of Queens. From that wín, he was then given the option to double up - a great betting opportunity that involves no house edge so players have a 50/50 chance of winning each time they double up. The British gambler took full advantage of this and went on to double up successfully no less than 16 times in a row and walk away as Bodog.com's newest millionaire.
"I'm a gambler. I like to gamble," he said. "I thought about cashing out after breaking $40 000, but decided to continue. Then when I broke one million, I was tempted by the thought of doubling up on over one million dollars, but finally decided against it."
What did the millionaire do after his wín? "I went on a long walk and smiled a great deal," he said.
