Slotland sponsorship designed to attract more mature players

25.10.2005

Online casino Slotland.com has opened a new player acquisition drive with a $4 000 prize sponsorship for amateur bowling tournaments across western Canada.

The company aims to introduce primarily senior citizen bowlers to the thrill of competing for real money at its online casino facilities.

"A lot of novice players in our regular leagues are seniors," said Ken Hayden, Manager of Varsity Lanes in Vancouver. "And most of them also love to play the slots. So the $200 bonus that Slotland gives to every contestant has nudged a lot of seniors to take their first shot at winning some casino money."

Slotland has provided cash prizes and promotional assistance for amateur bowling tournaments in two large western Canadian cities, Vancouver, BC and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Winners of the four preliminary matches being played in each city win $300 and advance to the Championship Playoff in their city where Slotland is providing grand prizes. By setting qualifying averages low, the tournaments are designed for amateur bowlers to get their first taste of competition.
