Sports Cafe closes abruptly

Players at the Boss Media-powered online casino and poker room Sports Cafe were taken by surprise this week with the abrupt closure of the operation with no reason given. Obervers immediately assumed that the shutdown must be a result of the Boss Media decision taken earlier this month to exclude US players from its licensee casinos and poker rooms.

The announcement informed players with "great regret" that the board of directors of SC UK Casino NV had decided to halt the operation of Sports Cafe Casino and Poker with immediate effect. "Both sites will close and no further transactions will take place as of close of business 26th October 2006," the notice announced.
