Party Poker Player Reviews and comments

I am an expert poker player. I have won over $25K at various online sites. I have won money at Party. So I am not a loser just here to complain.
Having said that, despite logical business reasons against not being random, I truly beleive Party Poker has a serious isue with their RNG, and stopped playing there. I was losing many, many 5-1 and better odds hands. I'm not talking starting hands, I'm talking heads up after the flop...like a set of 8's all-in on the flop losing to AA...A rivered. KK overpair all-in after the flop losing to river A (vs a2 offsuit). And I'm not talking occasionally, but often.
I have over 2000 hours now of online poker...no other site has shown me the bs cards I see @ Party.

The beats I take at PP are inconceivable, I'm convinced I have been taken for a fool. I will discontinued my play at PP.com, because I'm not getting a fair shake from this "foreign" site!
Anyone know of a good fair poker site?

I played yesterday for the first time although I wasnīt very sure. But I donīt regret it. I have won very little so far but itīs definitely fun to play there. I guess most negative messages in this board come from players with less luck the me.

If I don't play for a while then I hit the worlds best and luckiest hands. But when I start playing all of the time, I lose to garbage!!! It's partypoker enticing you to play more and as soon as you start winning they rig the game to get more money out of you. Almost all of my friends who have played, start off great and win good money, but as soon as they keep playing, they mysteriously get beat on the river all of the time. What is worse is partypoker seems to rig it so you have to call!!! You have your opponent beat through the turn and they keep calling you, and then hit the miracle card on the river. Rigged!!!! I have read poker books and the stuff that happens is nearly impossible. I have fun playing online, but at least make the game random and fair.

In four consecutive days of play had four full houses beaten by 2 straight flushes & 2 4's of kind.On the winning end I once had a staight flush that took down 2 full houses and ace high flush. If anyone is a math whiz, figure those odds.No way PP is not programmed.I cashed out ahead, but saw the writing on the wall luckily.

Party Poker is a great site... If you like to see a lot of AA, KK, JJ, and 1010 down cards on the same hand. Perhaps you like to see 2 out of 4 hands have 4 suited community cards? Then yes, Party poker is for you. But thats not all, they have "not available" locationed players that you have no idea where and why they don't have to have their location, but you do? If you have a problem you can easily talk with customer service ( if you are from India ). I highly recomend it. Where else would 27 off win so often. Party Poker "Here at Party Poker bad poker is good poker."

I'm sorry but whoever thinks these sites are not rigged and they don't have bad beats, never played these sites. I get bad beats all the time by losers who have nothing and get a river card and win..Even though I had a great hand from the get go. And it happens ALL THE TIME!!!!! So I am glad you have stock in the company, I hope you don't lose your shirt.

I do believe something fishy is going on. So many times I get a great hand, like a fullohouse and or a straight, and low and behold someone has a higher fullhouse, or If I have a Aces full of 4's fullhouse someone has 4 of a kind, or a royal flush, its ridiculous

Party Poker is definitely not rigged. People who claim there is something fishy are just sore losers or are tryign to promote some other card room.
1. Party Poker is a multi-billion dollar company. They are about to go public and have all of their statistics audited. I don't think they are going to risk this for a few extra bucks.
2. Bad beats do not help a cardroom. It only pisses players off and causes them not to play. If a poker room was rigged, it would be rigged to have less bad beats.
3. Real, professional players keep track of their statistics, such as how much they win for hundreds of hours. Others even use software programs that keep detailed stats about how much they win with certain hands, and these programs would be able to check to see if certain hands tended to hit flushes or straights, etc. more than they should. No one credible has claimed or proven that there is anything bad about Party Poker.

Hi,
I am not one to rush to judgement, especially since i work in this niche and I know that random number generators are fair, giving random results.
Whether PP's RNG is fair, or not; i cannot say.
I too, have experienced some rather high %s of badbeats.
But that said, I recall reading where hoyle claims that 65% of the games are decided on the river card. So it stands to reason that you are going to see some wild hand results.
I watched celebrity poker the other night and it had ray romano playing his on tv brother, Brad Garret.
Brad pulled not one, but two unbelievable suck outs, and a few more that weren't quite as amazing.
so it doesn't JUST happen at PP.
Now don't start bashing me, from either side. I'm just keeping an open mind, trying to figure out what it is I should be thinking.
in the last 60 days I have cashed out at least twice, for $2k each time. Its true, after each cashin I did experience a slump (some call this the "cash in blues").
and currently I have had two days of just incredible bad beat after bad beat.
What blows my mind is not the fact that i'm getting beat; but its what I'm getting called with; that concerns me.
two examples of recent;
holding pocket aces, I protect my hand with a 275 chip raise, against the ante and 50 chip bet by my remaining opponent. (single t-play, $50 buy in)
I get called and end up getting beat with a k6 offsuit.
come on? I wouldn't even play that hand on a 50 chip raise, let alone 275
the second I went all in with AKo and somebody called me with 8,6, ya that's right, 86, suited. and they caught an eight and I never got any further help.
who calls an all in of that amount bet; with 8,6 suited?
be interesting to see if its the same names at the top of the winners board on a consistent basis.
should be. at least I don't see how it could have a big turnover every month. after all, the cream (should)always rise to the top, given all else is fair.

I have played thousands of hands of Texas-HoldEm at Party Poker. If you think that the games are legitimate youre wrong. PP is rigged and YOU WILL LOOSE ALL OF YOUR MONEY. The posts on this site that claim PP is a rip-off and the descriptions that they give of how the hands go, how the customer service is terrible, theyre right on. Rely on your intuition, your intelligence, your gut. You know when you get beat by someone who stays in the pot with absolutely nothing only to catch the single card in the deck that can beat you that its not right, this happens time and time again. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Agree with the concensus - pp is rigged - players are flagged based on their deposits. new playeres receive more favorable hands and win on "luck" more often. try this - lose your money, quit playing for 3 to 4 months, then rebuy - and the first two to four hundred hands you'll clean up. don't believe me? check out the post from the guy who used to work for pp.

I have played hi limits at both pp and p stars. Although without knowing the operation, one can nvr for sure know the game is rigged. No one likes to bad beats, but the examples on these online sites are in my opinion beyond probability. You are totally playing from the dark and you have to ask yourself "am I sure these sites are not rigged?"

In my humble opinion, Party Poker is rigged. I have been playing there for 6 months now, and am up at least 500. It is great to win, but I must say I do think the site is rigged. There are too many good hands, many more then I've seen in "real" games. The number of bad beats and river kills seems to be extraordinarily high as well. Also, when I started out, I had very very good luck, almost as if I was being "favored" by the site. After playing for awhile, I noticed that others seemed to be "favored." I would routinely see big stacks outdrawing smaller ones, who had gone in with better cards. The big stacks weren't playing well, just getting lucky time and time again. I have played on other sites, and the action there seems to be more realistic in terms of the number of good hands/draws that appear. What do you guys think?

Absolutely rediculous. Amazing when people lose, they immediately scream rigged! I have played here for many years now and never once gotten the feeling that they are rigged. I lose, i win, have bad days, have good ones - much like at any landbased casino. Stop crying so much and learn to play properly!

After reading a good amount of these comments, I have to concur with the common consensus that PP is rigged. My proof? Have you ever, in any circumstance whatsoever, been frightened of raising a K high flush in a real money game? Now, same situation in something as cheap as a $.50/$1.00 game in PP... u better give it some thought this time. I rest my case.

I have played just a few tourneys at www.expekt.com and already notice the difference.
PP is RIGGED with action-oriented gaming and Hot/Cold flags on accounts based on their history (deposits, cash outs, winnings)!
Marbos. Many ppl beside you wonder "How can the rigg and be that big? Why woulod they rigg when they are that big?"
The masses and the below average players and the players who play at roulette and black jack (i.e playing at losing odds) would like the action and having a good streak will always make players believe "I can beat this if I play at my best".
To make something more of a lottery will appeal to the HUGE mass of lottery players. They outnumber the strategist. It is all about profit maxmization.

I am not complaining about winning or losing as I have done BOTH!!! When it comes to paying me they sure are a piece of work at paying me when it comes to large amounts. Seven days or more. But easy to take out of my account. I have been a long time player and never came into problems with them. They have even deposited my winnings before taking my funds when it was in the hundreds. Now, in the thousands, they take forever.
PS I do think that this is rigged sometimes. Gotta know how to play the system.

Rigged? Reading some of the comments on these posts is ridiculous. In Texas Hold'em poker (I'm guessing that's what most of you are playing), no hand will win vs. any hand 90% of the time (as one person implied) in a game where 10 players are dealt in. 1 on 1 no hand will ever win 90% of the time (some hands will win more than 90% of the time against others if they are "dominated".. ie AA vs A2o) but based on random chance the top hand AA will only win 85.3% of the time 1 on 1 vs 2 other random cards... and your opponents are not playing random cards. You see bad beats just as often in real life as you see on partypoker. Learn to play using something like turbo texas holdem before you jump in with your own real money. Since it sounds like almost no one here, especially the "90% chance to win" guy have much playing knowledge.

I think Party Poker is rigged for sure. There's no way you can tell me that in a real game you can lose to the same person from this made up city on a hand such as a full house to a higher full house.. What a load of crap.. The play money if fun but don't try the real money. You can't win..

i used to work for Party Poker back in the days when they were in santo domingo in the dominican republic.
this was before P.P., they were known as Leo data corporation and I was the official game monitor and yes, you are correct in the rigged part, at least I can say that for their games on Planetluck, starluck, as far as P.P. goes, i can imagine more of the same.

I've been playing PP for 2 days... and I'm convinced it's RIGGED. I've never seen so many flush and straight draws in my life..small stack always looses to big stack...even when small stack has consistently better cards....I think this is a way to churn players and to keep them coming back...also I not convinced that all players are real..vs computer gererated..also the # OF PLAYERS per satellite are remarkably consistent....e.g 200 210 240etc
My opinion...PP IS RIGGED.

After my experience on PP I would have to agree that there is something going. Overabundance of face cards on board, straights and flush makes. Ridiculous. The cards are anything but \"random\".

Iīm not winning at the moment but I was for a long time. I like Party Poker and also think itīs the best poker website. Iīm starting to play at these new poker websites with playtech games because I like their software more but Party Poker still has the bigger amount of players and thatīs what makes it more fun. What I donīt like very much is the customer support. They solved all issues so far yes, but itīs very difficult to talk to them over the phone. I hardly understood what they said (?)
