Unknown internet punter wins GBP 850 000

According to the BBC this week, a mystery lottery winner from Wales is the latest mega-winner on the UK National Lottery, scooping nearly GBP 850 000 without even touching a ticket.

National Lottery operator Camelot said the man, known only as Mr F from Powys, played the game interactively – either via the web or by text.

He matched all six numbers in the Lotto on 14 November.

A National Lottery spokeswoman said Mr F “banked this fantastic prize with just a few simple clicks – he didn’t even have to pick up a ticket.”
