188Bet to sponsor part of The Betting Channel

News on 27 Mar 2010

The sports betting website 188Bet.com has signed a deal with dedicated sports betting TV service The Betting Channel to sponsor segments of the channel’s output.
The online gaming and entertainment company will contribute odds for sports events and speciality markets to The Betting Channel, which streams every Friday. The bookmaker’s logo will also appear on studio backdrops and graphics.
As part of the deal, 188Bet’s betting expert, Rob Hartnett, will join regular host Alan Bentley and other guests such as Racing Post’s Mark ‘Couch’ Winstanley and former Arsenal hero Perry Groves to preview betting on a range of sports and entertainment events. The first of the shows will stream live his week and look ahead to the weekend’s sport and the US Masters golf.
The partnership further enhances 188Bet’s presence in European markets after high-profile sponsorships of Wigan and Bolton and their partnerships with Liverpool, Chelsea and Aston Villa as well as rugby clubs London Wasps and Wigan Warriors.
“We’re delighted to have 188Bet on board and we’re very much looking forward to working alongside them to preview a whole host of fantastic sporting events,” commented Alan Bentley, The Betting Channel founder and presenter. “In being able to tailor our output and offering our partners editorial input, we believe that we offer a prime platform for bookmakers to communicate with a large audience of bettors and sports enthusiasts in an entertaining and interactive way. We’re confident both parties will benefit greatly from this deal.”
