Industry veteran Lee Richardson has taken on the role of non-executive director at BTwiice, a London-based betting insurance startup.

The company, founded by Ismael Sami, Julien and Andre Cunze, aims to provide a betting insurance solution to bookmakers and is currently in a GBP 300 000 fund raising drive to launch and sign their first clients.

“We’re targeting small and medium-sized operators who might not have the internal resources to set up a ‘cash out’ equivalent of a Betfair or William Hill. We believe our product would offer their clients a great way to lock in their winnings and provide them with a differentiating USP,” said Julien Cunze, co-founder and chief executive officer of Btwiice.

Richardson who has held executive positions at ONEWorks, Chartwell, Coral Eurobet, Boylesports and the Tote said: “I’m delighted to have joined BTwiice, and helping them at their vital stage of business development and growth.”

“He has a fantastic contacts book but he also brings invaluable experience with regard to managing and driving the business forward”, concluded Cunze.
