Macau continued to impress in November 2011

Gambling revenue in Macau rose 33 percent in November from a year earlier, government statistics released Thursday showed, as visitors from mainland China continued to drive growth.

Macau’s monthly gaming revenue reached 23.05 billion patacas US$ 2.88 billion, officials from the island’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau revealed

Although revenues were up 33 percent compared to November 2010, there was a 14 percent decrease when compared to October 2011, when monthly revenue of Macau’s gaming sector reached 26.85 billion patacas (US$ 3.35 billion), officials observed.

For the first eleven months of 2011, the revenues have increased by 44.1 percent year-on-year to 244.25 billion patacas (US$ 30.53 billion).

The Bureau revealed that there were 34 casinos with 5,379 gaming tables and 15,900 slot machines in Macau by the end of September this year.
