Macau’s rise continues

Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau revealed a 35 percent rise in casino revenues to 25 billion patacas ($13.1 billion) during the month of January 2012, largely attributable again to Chinese mainland tourists and the Lunar New Year holiday.

The former Portuguese enclave has shown a meteoric rise in casino revenues which have tripled over the past four years mainly driven by mainland gamblers.
