Major jackpot hit at winner.com

One lucky Brit online slots player at Playtech-powered online casino Winner.com has hit the Spamalot jackpot, winning GBP 693,517 in cash.

Anthony Edmonds, who is from Newton Abbot, Devon, was steered to the casino by a friend, and told casino management that he had chosen the Spamalot slot because he was a Monty Python fan; the game brings the Tony Award winning musical to life.

He had been playing for just under one hour, with a ‘click and hope’ strategy, when he hit the jackpot, he said.

“The first thing I did was call my wife and a close friend, to validate that what I was seeing on my computer screen was correct,” Edmonds told casino managers. “What a fantastic win, it really couldn’t have come at a better time – I am still in disbelief.”

The big win will allow Edmonds, who is married and has three sons, to indulge in his passion for cars as well as clearing debt, taking the family on holiday and investing for the future.

Winner.com had only just launched Spamalot when the jackpot hit. Chief marketing officer Yoni Sidi said, “This is a tremendous result for Winner.com. We are a new brand in the UK with big ambitions to provide an entertainment service to our users. We work very hard to create games that bring light entertainment to our players whether they are on the move playing on their mobile, or in the comfort of their own home.”
