Sajid Javid takes over ministerial role at UK DCMS

The Rt Hon Sajid Javid MP has been appointed Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and Minister for Equalities at the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.

Javid succeeds Maria Miller who resigned earlier this month amid a furore involving over-claimed expenses.

He previously served as Financial Secretary to the Treasury and is the Conservative MP for Bromsgrove.
