Social sports gaming works for BetBomb

Patrick Gray, an Albany, NY entrepreneur who ventured into online social sports betting with his BetBomb.com company two years ago, says he is enjoying the fruits of a profitable enterprise which has recently attracted the investment and collaborative interest of the Albany division of Lead IT.

Whilst Gray has an eye on the possibilities of legalised real money online gambling in the United States, he is establishing a firm base with his free-play with cash prizes social gaming operation, which has an average daily user stat of 15,000 players and makes money through advertisements and additional services and perks for players.

“We’re going to continue to build this product, continue building our user base and the way we designed this software is that if states do end up legalizing gambling, we can just flip a switch instantly,” he said this week.

Gray says he was inspired by the success of Zynga’s “Farmville” game. “I thought this was crazy. If people are willing to do this, people are definitely going to be able to pay to increase their chances to win a tournament where there’s actually a prize at the end,” Gray said.

BetBomb.com has already been contacted by several major gaming companies with partnerships in mind, says Gray, who is planning to launch mobile gaming facilities for BetBomb soon.
