Sun Palace Casino has been in operation since 2002 and is part of the Mainstreet Vegas Group who is licensed in and operates out of Costa Rica. This group has gained a great deal of scope in the industry since their launch and you've probably seen at least one of the casinos that they operate somewhere online as their offering includes the likes of Vegas Casino Online, Las Vegas USA Casino and SlotsPlus casino which are all really good casinos.

The Sun Palace website has recently undergone a major facelift and the new look will have you staring in awe...it's just that beautiful with it's hues of gold that look as if they were touched by the sun itself. And then of course, you can't help but see their generous welcome bonus which forms the focal point of the site...

Welcome Bonus and Promotional Offerings

Sun Palace advertises a $500 welcome bonus on the homepage of their site but on closer inspection you will find that this is effectively a 125% initial deposit bonus where if you deposit between $10 and $100 you will get a 125% Bonus (which is a good deal) or if you deposit $101 or more you will get $125 Free on the first deposit plus an extra 25% on the remaining portion of your deposit. For example: Deposit $350 and get $125 on the first $100 of your deposit plus 25% ($62.50) on the remaining $250. A total of $187.50 in bonuses giving you a starting balance of $537.50. So you don't really get $500 in bonuses which is why you should always read all of the associated terms and conditions of any offer you receive before accepting it.

In addition to the Welcome Bonus, Sun Palace also offers players an additional 15% Bonus for using any of their preferred payment methods including Neteller, InstaDebit, Money Order or EWallet Express.

Sun Palace also runs a number of promotions for existing players including a $1,000 weekly reward promotion where each week the casino gives away 10 prizes of $100 free cash. You have to contact customer support to be eligible for this promotion and winners are announced in the weekly newsletter.

They also offer a Refer-a-Friend program where if you refer a friend that deposits and wagers $50 or more, you will be eligible for $20 in free casino cash. Again, terms and conditions apply!

Loyalty

Sun Palace Casino's Loyalty Program works on the more you play, the more you earn premise where each time you wager in your Real Money account you earn comp points that can then be redeemed for player cash. Depending on the number of comp points redeemed in the previous month, you will automatically qualify for a Silver, Gold, or Platinum Level bonus.

In addition to this, Sun Palace also holds a loyalty draw where 5 players stand the chance to win an additional $50 each month.

Download and Registration

Sun Palace Casino offers you the option of playing on either the Download or No Download (which is incidentally Mac/PC compatible) versions.

The No Download version does enables you to play instantly from within your internet browser but has a limited number of games and features while the Download version may take longer but includes more games to choose from and additional features.

Once the download is complete you will have to fill in a registration form by furnishing your personal details in order to open a player account. Once this is done you can login and play at the casino.

Banking

Games Offering

Sun Palace recently changed its software provider from Playtech to RTG (RealTime Gaming) and so I couldn't wait to check out what games where on offer at the casino now. Currently the overall games offering is comprised of over 90 games including Table and Card Games, Video Poker, Slots and Progressive Jackpots. The variety within each game genre is a bit limited but you certainly won't be at a loss when choosing a game.

I started off at the Table Games because these are usually the best of what RTG casinos have to offer and those at Sun Palace Casino are no different. The Roulette Table was by far my favorite with amazing graphics, fast smooth game play and some generous rewards! I won on my lucky numbers 3 spins into the game. Next I sat down at the Blackjack Switch table and again the graphics are bright and colorful and the game play rapid and exciting even though I didn't have any outstanding hands I had a good time.

Video Poker was next and all of the standard games are offered including single and multi-hand versions up to 100 hands. I began with single hand Jacks or Better and had a really good run boosting my budget by a further $100 which meant I had more to spend on the Slots which is where I headed next.

Sun Palace offers Classic and Video Slots and as usual I gravitated towards the Video Slots as I always find them most entertaining. I played a number of rounds on Ocean Princess but had dismal luck even though the game is attractive and fun to play. I then played Aladdin's wishes but the Genie wasn't on my side so I moved on to Aztec's Treasures and finally won $50 making up half of what I'd lost on the machines before.

I finally decided to play one of the progressives and chose Diamond Mine Deluxe which is a mining themed game and then I.R.I.S 3000 but it obviously wasn't my lucky day and although my balance soared and plummeted for some time giving me the opportunity to really enjoy these games I decided to cashout my remaining $50 balance. It did take quite a while for me to receive the money back but it wasn't a huge problem for me as it's all part of my gambling bankroll and keeps me from spending too much!

The Verdict

Sun Palace is a good casino, it may not be the best but it also doesn't have any major problems which some others do. I had a great time exploring their games offering and I'm sure you'll have an enjoyable experience here too.
