Lesniak goes to Facebook

News on 21 Apr 2010

In another example of a US politician deploying modern technology in support of his objectives, New Jersey Senator Raymond Lesniak has launched a Facebook page and is inviting players to show their support for his legislative proposal to legalise New Jersey online gambling by signing up.
Lesnik has fought a determined and brave battle to legalise internet games like poker, blackjack and baccarat through 4NJBets.com, sponsoring a separate bill that would allow New Jersey residents to vote on a constitutional amendment to permit state-regulated sports wagering in Atlantic City casinos .
The New Jersey Senator has gone online to show fellow lawmakers and Capitol Hill that the current generation of US players wants more freedom of choice in their gambling entertainment.  He has appealed for as many players as possible to sign in support of his Facebook petition in the hope that 200 000 or more will come together and show politicians that there is a grass roots demand for a more enlightened approach to online gambling.
Supporters can use the Okay To Play: Support iGaming page at Facebook.com or an online petition at NJLD20.com/sportsbetting.php.
