37 arrested in Malaysian internet gambling blitz

Illegal online gambling operators were again the target of a series of six raids carried out this week by the Malaysian police.
In four of the raids, police reported that the same premises had been raided on four previous occasions.
Police arested a total of 37 men and women, mainly in their twenties, in the swoop and seized 183 computers. Kuala Lumpur police anti-vice, gambling and secret societies division staff officer DSP Razali Abu Samah said: “Each of the premises was equipped with closed circuit television cameras and entry required password activation.”
