Canadian online gambling software provider Chartwell Technology has inked key movie brand licensing agreements with Paramount Digital Entertainment International.
The deal with Paramount Pictures—responsible for such movie classics as The Godfather and The Ten Commandments—will see Chartwell developing online games based on two movies from the Paramount Picture archive.
Game development flowing from the agreement is already underway, although company spokesmen would not disclose at this stage what themes and characters are being used.
Chartwell has additionally signed a deal with Progressive Games Partners LLC which gives the software provider the rights to such games as Progressive Blackjack and Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker. Again, development of games in this area has commenced.
“These agreements reflect our commitment to delivering a much expanded and diversified product line to our customers,” commented Chartwell Technology president and CEO Darold H. Parken. “For Chartwell, 2009 is all about a tremendously expanded product suite, much more comprehensive service capabilities and the rollout of our most significant software release ever.”
