Koreans arrested in the Philippines on unlicensed online gambling charges

National Bureau of Investigation officers swoop on a house in Mandaue City to find evidence of illegal online gambling.

Acting on a search warrant granted by Judge Ricky Jones Macabaya of the Regional Trial Court in Cebu City, a raiding party from the National Bureau of Investigation swooped on a house in Mandaue City on Wednesday.

Six Korean nationals were arrested on charges of operating an unlicensed online gambling enterprise, a police spokesman reported, noting that a large volume of documentary evidence and internet related equipment and computers was seized.

The six detained men have been identified as Choi Jun Lee, Kim Jim Ho, Kim Tea Sick, Kang Dae Yeop, Kim Chi Min and Joe Seong Woon.
