Akamon Entertaiment, a social casino company focused on Southern Europe and Latin America, claims that a new SuperData study has found that the Latin regional markets are now producing revenues of around $95.83 million.

Akamon is on track to reach $20 million in gross revenue this year, Management claims, leading it to surmise that it can expect to capture over 20 percent market share in the social casino market in Latin America and Spain.

In terms of game distribution, the SuperData report identifies the regions of Latin America and Spain as an opportunity for the social gaming industry in terms of mobile strategy.

While worldwide mobile usage for social casino is at 47 percent, according to Eilers Research, 75 percent of LatAm users are still using desktop and laptop for most of their gameplay. This suggests a definite upside for Akamon over the next 2 years in the region due to its consistency with the company’s current platform distribution numbers.

SuperData found that Bingo, which is Akamon’s top performing game, is the favourite game for 38 percent of Latin American and Spanish players.

Vicenç Martí, Akamon CEO, said that the SuperData findings happily coincide with his company’s games and distribution strategies, presenting a “…solid baseline for securing further market share in the spectacular growth of the region lying ahead.”
