Pacific Poker
Updated May 03 2006
Pacific Poker is owned and run by 888.com, which is probably the most well known brand in the online gaming world. It is very difficult not to see an advert for them anywhere you go, whether it be online or offline.
This poker room is so big that it is impossible for you to log in and not find a place to play.
It depends on how you look at it, but the slow way that the cards are dealt can be a disadvantage or a big advantage. Experienced players could find that this is really annoying, because you end up playing less hands per hour than you would at most other rooms, but newer players will find this to be a great advantage, because you do not end up feeling pressured into making a move that you are unsure of.
The fact that it plays slower than most (well, this is how I found the play to be) is easily overlooked when you consider everything that they have to offer in terms of promotions and tournaments. You also know that you are dealing with a very solid group that will not buckle at any given moment.
