Tropics Poker opened its' doors in September 2004 and has built up a membership base at a pretty impressive rate, although still not one of the bigger rooms around. However, that being said, they have a load of really excellent tournaments and promotions for you to take part in and with the limited number of players there to take part, your chances of being placed at least rise immensely!

The software is not the most amazing software that I have come across, but that does not necessarily have to mean anything, since that type of judgement is very subjective. The positive side is that it loads really quick and the games run very fast and smoothly. I hate it when software hangs during a tournament.

The loyalty program is easy to understand and pretty cool. You gather points while you play and these points can then be exchanged either for entry into certain tournaments or for some of their merchandise and gifts.

Not a bad place to start off at especially if you are new to the online poker world.
