Bonnier deal extended by Net Entertainment

News on 17 Mar 2010

Swedish online gambling software provider Net Entertainment extended its partnership with the part-owned Bonnier Gaming bingo subsidiary Bertil Internet Ltd, through an additional delivery of its successful CasinoModule online casino platform.
The partnership is an important part of media company Bonnier’s quest to establish itself as an operator in the rapidly growing online gambling market.
Bonnier Gaming is part owner of the Maltese registered Bertil company, which runs the Internet gambling site Bertil.com, an existing licensee of Net Entertainment.
Through the extended partnership, Bertil will be able to offer a broad range of casino games to the players of its new gaming site Vinnarum.com which was launched yesterday.
”Since we are relatively late in establishing ourselves on this market it is of key importance that we offer the best products. Bertil evaluated several alternatives and selected Net Entertainment’s platform, as it combines high operational security with innovative solutions”, said Marcus Forsell, chief executive of Bonnier Gaming AB.
“It has long been speculated that media companies will enter the market for online gaming,” said Johan Öhman, CEO of Net Entertainment. “Bonnier is one of the first companies to actually act.”
