Ourgame International, a Hong Kong-based, Asian-facing gaming and eSports group which came to the attention of Western firms when it acquired the World Poker Tour from Bwin for $35 million (see previous reports) is in the news again following its announcement this week of the acquisition of three Chinese mobile gaming companies for a total of $65 million.

Working through subsidiary company Tianjin Shengyou Shidai, Ourgame’s biggest deal was the full acquisition of Nanjing Haoyun Meicheng Electronics Technology Co, which develops and operates mahjong, poker and other card and board game products in six Chinese provinces. Ourgame agreed a consideration in cash and stocks of RMB 220 million (over $32 million) for the company.

Ourgame invested another RMB 150 million in acquiring Hunan-based card and board games operator Shenzhen Xunyou Internet Technology Co., and followed that with the acquisition for RMB55 million of Fujian-facing card and board game operator Xiamen Yiwantang Internet Technology Co.

The acquisitions will extend Ourgame group’s brand and business influence in the Chinese market whilst adding skilled development staff to the group resources, management said.

Our readers will also recall that Ourgame is active in a joint eSports venture titled Allied Esports, which has been investing in eSports venues in the United States, Germany and China and operates a small fleet of large mobile arena articulated vehicles.
