Betsoft Gaming’s Alderney licence suspended

News on 7 Jul 2014

News emerging this week that the Alderney Gambling Control Commission has suspended the operating licence of online gambling software developer and provider BetSoft Gaming has left observers speculating in the absence of an explanation by the Commission.

André Wilsenach, executive director of the AGCC, has confirmed that a suspension notice was issued to BetSoft’s parent group, Digitus Limited in terms of Alderney e-gaming regulation 91, together with notification of a hearing on the issue.

However, Wilsenach has declined to comment in detail, saying only that there are sufficient grounds for the Commission to believe that Digitus is no longer suitable to hold an AGCC accreditation.
