Boylesports appoints CMO for digital sector

Irish bookmaker Boylesports has appointed James Arnold, the former head of European marketing at Sportingbet, as Chief Marketing Officer of Online.

The company has opened an office in London which will handle “an ambitious growth strategy” in the expansion of Boylesports’ digital business.

“In terms of recruiting the specific expertise that we need to grow the digital side of the business, we felt that this was more readily available in London,” Arnold told the Irish Times.  “There were a lot of other efficiencies as well,” Arnold said referring to the group’s supplier locations being in London.

Our readers will recall BoyleSports splitting its retail and digital operations into separate divisions last year as Keith O’Loughlin was employed as chief executive officer of online .
