DFS startup makes executive hires

Daily fantasy sports provider Scout Gaming Group (SGG) has appointed former NetEnt chairman Rolf Blom as chairman of the Board and Andreas Ternström as chief executive officer.

Blom, who was one of the first investors in Betsson (later bought by Cherry Group), has an extensive background as an executive manager and investor in several B2B companies.

”For me it was an easy decision to assume the role as Chairman of the Board at Scout Gaming Group. The company has a dedicated focus on the product and they have one of the best fantasy sport products on the market. Hopefully my experience from NetEnt will help Scout as the company now enters a rapid growth phase”.

Ternström, who previously served as chief executive officer of Evoke Gaming (formerly Bonnier Gaming), joined SGG late 2016. He brings media, gaming and business development experience to the table as the company expands from product development to sales.

In related news, SGG said it had recently completed a financing round that attracted several well-known – but unnamed – investors into the company.
