Gaming Realms ink three Slingo licensing deals

News on 27 Jan 2016

Social gaming-focused Gaming Realms Plc announced three significant deals with Zynga, Endemol and Fremantle Media on the back of preliminary results for the full year 2015 period in which it reported an increase in group revenues of 116 percent and real-money-gaming revenue of 305 percent.

The new Slingo licensing agreements will see the brand extend into new player channels and markets.

Gaming Realm’s agreement with Fremantle Media will see the brand included in its X Factor brand backed by a significant marketing campaign set for launch in the third quarter of 2016.

Endemol will develop a new game leveraging the Slingo format and Endemol’s Deal or No Deal brand which is expected to launch in the second quarter 2016.

Last, but not least, Zynga will bring a new Slingo branded slot game to the social casino market, paying Gaming Realm’s a royalty on net revenue over a three-year term.

“We are excited by what has already been achieved in social gaming following the acquisition of RealNetwork Inc.’s mobile games assets as we look to build out our games offering and publishing capabilities” chief executive officer Patrick Southon said. “The Group is already reaping the benefits of the acquisition, evident by the signing of the agreements with Fremantle, Endemol and Zynga.”
