Icelandic politicians try for legalisation for a third time

Twelve politicians have backed a proposal submitted to the Alþingi, Iceland’s Parliament, by Willum Þór Þórsson of the Progressive Partyoutlining a general legal framework for the regulation of gambling.

This is Willum Þór Þórsson’s third bid which if adopted would regulate advertising, implement a licensing system and tax regime along with the introduction of problem gambling mechanisms.
