Kahnawake Gaming Commission tightens responsible gaming regs

News on 11 Feb 2015

A year after implementation the Kahnawake Gaming Commission has reported on the efficacy of its tightened responsible gaming policy, noting that its licensed operators have responded well to the challenges of cooperating on player self-exclusion requests.

During the twelve months ended December 31 2014 the Commission’s dedicated online player self-exclusion facilities, along with requests direct to operator recorded 62 addressable applications for self-exclusion from KGC licensed online casino websites.

From these, 35 comprehensive self-exclusion directives were issued to, and respected by, the Commission’s operator licensees.

Five more limited “cooling off” requests were received but could not be processed due to a lack of temporary exclusion provisions in the regulations, whilst 22 requests for full exclusion remain pending due to incomplete player information.
