Siem Reap provincial police in Cambodia have arrested nine South Korean and four Cambodian nationals for illegal online gambling following a month-long investigation and surveillance on a local club, senior provincial officials said Monday.

The Phnompenh Post reports that the men were arrested during a police operation late Saturday night.

Provincial police chief major general Sorth Dina said, “The suspects were preliminarily accused by police of illegal online gambling, illegal gun use and working as accomplices.”

The suspects were sent to provincial courts to be officially charged on Monday. The club’s manager and a security guard were among those arrested.
