The Malta Lottery and Gaming Authority (LGA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on bilateral cooperation with the Jersey Gambling Commission that covers a broad and comprehensive range of topics.

The two jurisdictions intend developing common responsible gaming measures along with the enhancement of consumer and player protection measures.  Other joint points of interest include common regulatory best practices, employee exchange programmes and the development of common certification standards.

The MoU additionally provides a formal basis for cooperation between the two jurisdictions in the exchange of information and investigative assistance of providers and remote gaming services.

Cloud regulation, recognition of financial institutions located in the jurisdictions used for gaming transactions, recognition of national certification bodies and player liquidity have all been covered in the agreement.
