Microgaming’s education bursary making a difference

Microgaming’s PlayItForward initiative partnered with the Isle of Man’s Department of Education, Sport and Culture in 2014 for the launch of the Microgaming Education Bursary which provides funding for exceptional students whose financial circumstances may not allow them to attend, or continue at, university.

To date, seven graduates have achieved their degrees under the scheme in disciplines ranging from Theoretical Physics with Mathematics, Law with Criminology, Primary Mathematics Education with QTS, Logic & Philosophy, LLB, Business Management and Outdoor Leadership and Activities.

Another five bursary recipients are currently in University taking degrees in Electronics and Computer Engineering, Forensic Psychology, Economics, Classical Civilisations and Business Management with Marketing.

“We believe the Isle of Man’s next generation of leaders, thinkers and creators should be given every opportunity to flourish, which is why we fund university bursaries for some of the brightest minds on the island.”
