More arrests in Utica internet gambling ring

In a further development to the four Utica, New York State residents charged in Oneida County Court last week for allegedly running an illegal internet sports gambling operation, State Police have made three more arrests connected to the 21-month investigation.
John P. Lazzaro (60) of Whitesboro, has been arrested and charged with 11 counts of second-degree promoting gambling. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Utica Court on December 8, 2010.
Steven M. Femia (46) of Utica is charged with ten counts of second-degree promoting gambling. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Utica Court on December 9, 2010.
William J. Broedel (50) of Deansboro, has been arrested and charged with eight counts of second-degree promoting gambling. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Utica Court on December 13, 2010.
The investigation is ongoing, and further arrests are anticipated commented the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit.
