MX Digital in Blues Brothers licencing agreement

US-based online gambling content developer MX Digital has entered into an exclusive partnership with Blues Brothers Approved Ventures for the use of The Blues Brothers brand.

The terms of the agreement include using the names and likenesses of Jake and Elwood Blues, for online gaming properties, with promotional support from Elwood actor, Dan Aykroyd.

Eric Bischoff, Partner, MX Digital, said: “We are really excited to add The Blues Brothers to our catalog of games. As a fan, and having been a part of the television audience when The Blues Brothers made television, feature film and music history, we are very proud to be able to bring this brand to fans around the world in our game formats, and honored to be working with the legendary Dan Aykroyd and Judy Belushi (John Belushi’s widow).”

In related news, MX Digital announced five other new titles for 2014 which include Hollywood legend James Dean, MGM Film’s “Missing In Action” starring Chuck Norris, boxing great “Smokin” Joe Frazier and controversial former NBA star Dennis Rodman. These games will join a portfolio already containing Hulk Hogan and David Hasselhoff-branded games.

MX Digital recently raised an additional $1.2 million in investment funding from Los Angeles-situated Diamond Investments.
