NetEnt gets the online gambling nod from New Jersey

News on 1 Sep 2015

The Swedish online gambling software provider NetEnt has received a transactional waiver from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, allowing it to launch its digital gaming products via the Borgata and bwin.party brands.

Having applied to the DGE for a Casino Service Industry Enterprise Licence earlier this year, the transactional waiver permits NetEnt Americas LLC to go live with its game content while its licence application is still under review.

Prior to going live, NetEnt will initiate an installation process of its servers and trial of its services. The official launch date will be announced separately at a later stage.

The transactional waiver is granted individually for each signed agreement. NetEnt has previously announced additional customer agreements with operators Golden Nugget and Caesars Interactive Entertainment. The company awaits the process of transactional waivers to start the go-live process also for these operators.

Björn Krantz, managing director of NetEnt Americas LLC, said: “The approval of the transactional waiver for Borgata and bwin.party in New Jersey marks yet another milestone in our efforts to successfully go to market and build a long-term presence in North America. We are working in close collaboration with our partners and the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement to secure that necessary administration is taken to successfully go live as soon as possible.”
