Former Probability COO is Gibraltar bound

The Gibraltar-based social, online and mobile gambling provider Nektan will reap the benefits of 17 years of experience in the industry when Matt Sunderland (38) joins the company as COO.

Sunderland was formerly chief operations officer for mobile gaming activity at the UK mobile gambling technology specialist Probability plc, which he joined in 2009 as commercial director before rising to chief operating officer and becoming a member of the board.

He is widely credited with the successful marketing of Probability’s Ladylucks and Moobile brands.

Prior to joining Probability, Sunderland was Group Marketing Director of Gaming, at St. Minver – part of G2, the online gaming division of GTech.  He was also at one time Commercial Marketing Director at Carlton Screen Advertising (an ITV company) and Head of Commercial Marketing (Europe, Middle East & Africa) for CNN International.

Last month Probability announced Sunderlands departure “…to pursue opportunities outside of the UK” but did not disclose which company he would be joining.

Nektan recently added mobile betting technology company Mfuse to its corporate stable, which includes subsidiary St Endellion, a Gibraltar licensed gambling operator and a provider of products and services to US state lotteries.

The company boasts that it bridges the gap between Social Gaming and Online, Mobile Gambling, provides new content to tired gaming sites and opens up new markets, new players and new revenue streams.

Nektan is also known for its development of the hybrid ‘sklots’ skill and chance game concepts and recently raised GBP 5 million following a successful private equity fundraising campaign.
