News on 18 Mar 2014

5050Sports, the innovative online casino game that enables players to wager on the outcome of exclusively-licensed archive sports footage, will be available to more than 100 additional operators following integration with the Quickfire platform, powered by Microgaming.

The agreement between owners Real Sports Global and Quickfire provides operators with new high turnover, on-demand football and sports betting content.

Hosted by former England, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester United striker Michael Owen, the football version of 5050Sports allows players to wager on video highlights from England and Brazil internationals and the FA Cup.

5050Sports will be offered in both full-game and mini-game formats and both multi-lingual and multi-currency options are available to operators.

“Partnering with Quickfire, is a huge endorsement of the 5050Sports product,” said Stuart Carr, CEO of Real Sports Global and founder of 5050Sports.

“Quickfire’s rapid integration, prolific games roll out and global distribution will significantly increase coverage of 5050Sports in what is a key time for the betting and gaming industry ahead of this summer’s carnival of football in Brazil.”

“With the world’s biggest football event just months away, 5050Sports is a perfectly timed addition to the Quickfire platform. It will be a compelling offering for operators to have in their portfolio and a key differentiator when it comes to attracting new players before, during, and after the tournament,” said Ashley Sandyford-Sykes, head of Quickfire.

Each variant of 5050Sports is fronted by an international sports star. Also being added to Quickfire, are editions featuring former Ashes-winning England captain Michael Vaughan (cricket), multiple world title holder Ricky Hatton (boxing), 2010 Open champion Darren Clarke (golf), World Superbike legend Carl Fogarty (motorsports) and current No. 4 in the PDC Order of Merit, Simon Whitlock (darts).

5050Sports launched online with BetVictor in December 2013 (see previous reports) and is a bonus feature in the forthcoming land-based slot game Mega Grandstand featuring 5050Sports from Astra Games Ltd, a subsidiary of the Novomatic Group of Companies.
