SNAI revenues down in H1-2012

News on 16 Aug 2012

SNAI, a major company in the Italian online gambling market, has posted mediocre H1-2012 numbers, reporting that revenues in the first half of 2012 declined almost 7.5 percent to Euro 284.8 million, and attributing the lacklustre performance to uncertainties in the Italian sports betting sector.

Racing bets were down a worrying 33 percent, impacted adversely by industrial disputes in Italy which went on for well over a month.

Online operations provided relief – a growing trend across mixed gambling companies like SNAI, providing revenues of Euro 449.3 million for the period.

The other bright spot was VLT action, which grew to Euro 431.4 million.
