Sportpesa to withdraw all Kenya sponsorships

In a series of Tweets, SportPesa chief executive officer, Ronald Karauri said the company’s cost of business will be significantly affected by the Kenyan Government’s increase in tax to 35 percent effective January 1, 2018 (see previous reports).

As a direct result, Karauri said the company will begin giving notice to the Clubs and Unions that it supports informing the withdrawal of all sponsorships from January 1, 2018.

“…we want our sports partners to plan accordingly,” he said.
