The Weather Lottery fraudster sentenced

A fraud scandal involving two employees, GBP 70 000 and The Weather Lottery (TWL) has culminated in both accused being sentenced by a Nottingham Crown Court this week.

The duo were charged following a UK Gambling Commission investigation into financial irregularities at TWL between April 2008 and April 2010, the results of which were referred to the Nottinghamshire Police .

Keith Milhench (56), the former managing director of TWL who pleaded guilty to misappropriation of jackpot payments, has been given a 28-month prison sentence, while Amie Pickersgill-Smith (30) was given a 20-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months and has been ordered to carry out 120 hours of community service.
