The Yorkshire, England sports betting company Small-Bet.com has agreed a deal with Texas-based skill games developer Snakehead Software that will see the latter’s games accessible to punters on the betting site, making it possible for peer-to-peer betting on skill gaming competitions.

Founded in 2010 by gamer Neil Spence, Small Bet Limited is based in Harrowgate, and was formed to allow friends to wager against each other via PayPal on sports and other events . The site places emphasis on social gaming links with popular networking sites.

Gerald Bailey, president of Snakehead Software, said that his company will provide skill games like Air Assault and Texas Tea to the UK firm, adding:

“Players are ready for a new element that will skyrocket interest in their games.

“Nothing can quite compare to demonstrating your mastery in skill-based games like Air Assault and Texas Tea and then measuring it against that of a friend.

“Challenging friends to a cash wager is such a simple idea and, yet, it adds a whole new dimension to interactive, online gaming.”

Skill gaming falls outside the definition of gambling in the United States and is “legal” in that country.
