UK TV celebrity owns new online bingo website

Former Atomic Kittens songstress and British television celebrity Kerry Katona is the latest entertainment luminary to launch an online gambling site with her Bingo With Kerry website, operated by Virtue Fusion and powered by Playtech.

The female-targeted website is licensed by both Alderney and the UK Gambling Commission, and Katona is reportedly ‘putting in the hours to make it a success’ as she offers online bingo fans the opportunity to game-play with a celebrity on the new online bingo destination, where she has invested a significant personal presence including her Twitter feed.

However, Katona took some flak this week from The Sun newspaper, which quoted a gambling therapist who said: ‘For Kerry to be giving online bingo the celebrity seal of approval when she has a mental health issue is very disturbing.’

A source close to Katona responded to the criticism, saying: ‘Her bipolar disorder has nothing to do with her ability to front a bingo site.’

Now recovered from the break up last year of her third marriage, the star has embarked on a new health and fitness regime and is putting plenty of energy into her new business venture.
