The former chief of the UK Responsibility in Gambling Trust, Malcolm Bruce, has found a new home in the Betfair group management as Head of Sustainable Gambling.
Bruce’s portfolio includes ensuring that social responsibility is integral to the Betfair group’s business purpose and strategy. He will be responsible for developing and implementing evidence-based programmes that will serve as the core components of a radical agenda for social responsibility, the company said.
Betfair processes over six million betting transactions a day from its two million registered customers around the world, and sustaining its social and responsible gambling practices for communities, customers, employees and the environment is a key business objective, a spokesman added.
