Amaya Gaming reports success with instant rewards product

The Montreal-based online gambling software provider Amaya Gaming has claimed that its Instant Rewards real-time achievement tool has helped PAF.com post a 30 percent increase in online poker activity and revenues.

Describing the innovative product as “a new achievement engine”, the company says that it enables online gaming operators to establish a number of different challenges for players before paying out related prizes in real time.

Giving an example of its application in the internet poker environment, a spokesman for Amaya said that a typical IR challenge might be anything from winning a hand with two aces to collecting a defined combination of cards.

Each achievement comes complete with its own progress bar indicating how close players are to achieving their goal while competitors also receive progress notifications while at the virtual table. Prizes, which can be cash or tournament tickets, are then issued immediately.

Herbert Paradis, online poker head at PAF.com, is certainly a fan: “Instant Rewards might be one of the most innovative poker features I have ever seen,” he said Tuesday.

“After a two-month trial we have measured an increase in both time spent by and revenue generated from players using Instant Rewards. Poker players love challenges and this product is well suited to incentivise recreational players. It gives ordinary players an experience of competence and creates a feeling of mastery when they complete the challenge at hand.”

Instant Rewards is built into Amaya’s recently acquired Ongame Poker product and requires no integration work or set-up costs. Operators can turn on the product with a click while a full service version is also available with management, customisation of rewards and in-depth analyses of campaigns.
