Borneo online gambling ring broken up

Police in Borneo reported over the weekend that further operations aimed at stamping out online gambling in the Asian nation have resulted in the dismantling of an online sports betting operation.

Police from D7, the national Anti-Vice, Gaming and Gangsterism Unit, carried out raids on two premises in the Pelita Commercial centre, arresting 17 persons – half of whom were immigrants from Indonesia and the Philippines, and seizing 19 computers.
