Codere acquires remaining shares in Grupo Caliente

Spanish operator Codere S.A. has informed the Spanish stockmarket regulator, Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores, of its outright acquisition of Group Caliente through its wholly-owned indirect subsidiary Codere Mexico S.A. de C.V.

The company said it had acquired the remaining shares that Group Caliente held in the consolidated Subsidiaries, in which Codere held a 67.3 percent equity interest, for a total consideration of USD 26 million, comprised of USD 22 million in cash and the remaining USD 4 million settled by offsetting amounts due to Codere by Grupo Caliente.

Following the acquisition, Grupo Caliente will continue to provide Codere with certain services related to its sports betting business.
