Crown Resorts employees released by China

Ten of the nineteen Crown Resorts employees arrested in China late last year for promoting gambling (see previous reports) have been released from two Chinese detention centres, the Reuters news service reported Wednesday.

Sixteen of the original number arrested were convicted and sentenced to jail terms in June this year, with time already served taken into consideration.

Those released included Australian citizen Jerry Xuan, who departed jail without commenting to reporters
