DraftKings in motor sport deal

News on 12 Aug 2015

DraftKings’ latest addition to an already expansive sports partnership portfolio is an exclusive Official Daily Fantasy Sports Provider agreement with the International Speedway Corporation (ISC).

Daytona Beach-headquartered ISC’s primary business is the ownership and management of 13 NASCAR race tracks.

Under the terms of the deal, DraftKings will receive extensive promotional and branding opportunities across ISC’s race track’s and digital properties.

DraftKings’ NASCAR daily fantasy sports games will be broadcast via event-day announcements, digital and social channels and through a significant presence on MRN, the nation’s largest independent sports network, the company said.

“Utilizing new technologies to engage and connect with our fans is at the core of ISC’s strategy,” said Daryl Wolfe, executive for the ISC. “We are committed to growing our fan base and partnering with DraftKings allows us to provide their customers with once-in-a-lifetime experiences that match the thrills and high speed action of NASCAR.”

Financial considerations of the deal were not disclosed.
