Executive VP of IGT Interactive to resign

According to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regulatory filing, executive vice president of International Game Technology’s (IGT) Interactive Group, Robert Melendres, has notified the company of his intention to resign following a change in responsibilities that sees him reporting to John Vandemore, IGT’s executive vice president emerging business, chief financial officer and treasurer.

IGT also notified the SEC in the disclosure that Melendres is no longer a named executive officer of the company and his resignation is effective January 1, 2014.

Melendres has served as executive vice president of IGT’s Interactive Group since January 2012. His responsibilities include accelerating the adoption of IGT interactive gaming across online, mobile and social platforms.  He previously served as IGT’s chief legal officer and corporate secretary from 2009.
